Waterproofing that stops at the floor
It needs to run at least 20 cm up the wall, and to full height in the shower area. Cutting corners here comes back as a repair for the neighbour downstairs.
Outlets that don't match the chosen fixtures
The sink is chosen after tiling, and the outlet doesn't line up. One fitting, together with retiling, costs from 200 €. We choose the fixtures before relocating the outlets.
Ventilation that doesn't work
If the natural duct is clogged or blocked by a suspended-ceiling structure, moisture stays in the room no matter how good the waterproofing is.
